A Silver Lining in a State of Being
Photographed by Caroline Fahey
"In October, 2013, during my sophomore year in college, I found out there was a blood clot in my brain. Ninteen-year-old girls are not supposed to almost have strokes...or so I thought.
Since my first day in the NYU Langone Stroke Unit and through-out the eight months home in Boston recovering, my mother continued to declare there was going to be a silver lining that came out of the excruciating physical and emotional pain the clot caused. A silver lining? Bullshit.
Fact: mothers are always right.
A Silver Lining in a State of Being, explored my personal journey of trying to maintain a healthy and positive presence by simply being."
