"This body of work is entitled 'Bone, Flesh, Memory,' and was created in Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia. The series features a collection of portraits, still lifes, and environmental vignettes. I was born and raised in different areas of the American South, so my childhood serves as a major visual reference and source of inspiration for my work. I am interested in vernacular settings and scenarios, which although seemingly mundane, create a sense of disquietment."
