Ben Brock Wilkes and Lou Nutting make up the Brooklyn-by-way-of-Virginia duo, Winstons. Both following the women they love to the big city, the two met at the Brooklyn venue Baby's All Right. While only a two-piece, they create enough energy and sound on stage to make you think twice. Lou stomps away on his harmonica and guitar, while Ben bounces around on the drums.

While everyone loves a good sweaty act, we thought we'd slow things down to share a different side of the Virginia lovers. We met in Ben's backyard in Bushwick one early Summer evening where they created an outdoor recording space. With a campfire going and a few beers Winstons couldn't help but still ruffle up some leaves. (Sorry neighbor about your sixteen dollar plant.)

Watch below for an acoustic session of "Down On Me" and then head to our Youtube page to see live sessions of "Heaven's Full of Mules" and "Without You."
