When New Zealand's Yumi Zouma released their debut EP ‘The Brae’, they did so while members were scattered in different locations across the globe. For their sophomore LP 'Willowbank', the group reunited on their home turf and recorded in an earthquake-devastated Christchurch neighborhood, this time capturing the essence of a group of friends making music together in the same room. The music is reminiscent of a ’70s and ’80s groove, adding a touch of sensuality and intimacy to each song. We caught up with the group at Le Poisson Rouge while they were in New York on their North American tour.
