How to interview a band in 2017: bring them to a protest.
The weekend The Districts released their latest album, Popular Manipulations, a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville occurred, ending in violence. The country was sent into shock, looking for some sort of leadership from our President, but found none. And now as a result, less than a block away from where we're sitting, a protest is about to erupt outside of Trump Tower.
While it may be taboo to talk politics over dinner, we're having ramen at 3pm in Midtown, so it's fine. The Districts have already talked Popular Manipulations over and over, so we decided to talk about a different type of popular manipulation that's on everyone's mind.
