Group Chat: Deeper & Dehd on the Fire Talk 10 Year Anniversary
Interview by Trevor Peterson
Fire Talk was born in the Spring of 2009 when my band Woodsman set out on our first tour. In an effort to add more legitimacy to our CD-R release for the merch table, we conceived and added a logo, the same logo you see today. I lent the logo to a few other friends for their releases and not before long started releasing 7 inches and LPs for artists in Denver where I was living at the time, as well as folks I'd meet on tour. It's been a long road to get to 10 years. I moved the label to New York City in 2011, continued to release music while juggling a million things, touring in a band between the NYC hustle, eventually culminating in a solid roster of artists consistently releasing music. 10 years feels like a milestone worth celebrating but it also feels like just the beginning. We're throwing two parties to celebrate, one in New York at Baby's All Right September 5th, and another at Chicago's Thalia Hall on August 30th. Dehd, Deeper and Patio play both— Fran opens it up in Chicago and Media Jeweler in New York. I hope you'll come celebrate with us!
Below Deeper, Dehd and Trevor talk about their upcoming tour and 10 year anniversary show.
