Get Lost on Rose Dorn’s Tour Across the West

To be totally transparent: Despite the fact that all POND asked us to do was briefly introduce these photos, we spent a number of hours workshopping potential ideas, dismissing each in turn. There was one relating tour-time to dream-time, comparing each against the consistent tick of reality. Another referenced Baudrillard in the context of our sitting in a speeding van for five to thirteen hours a day, watching the world fly past.

At some point in the brainstorming process it occurred to us—There is no way to introduce these photos other than in an expression of our deepest gratitude that they exist, captured memories of some of the most special weeks we’ve ever lived through. All we can say is: Thank you so much to the people who helped make this happen. Whether you’re reading this in an office in Hoboken or a basement in Olympia, whether you booked us or put us up or just came to see us play music…thank you. We can’t wait to get back out there.
